Migration Sprint 0

Sprint 0 planning is now closed.

Sprint 0 execution began on Wednesday 22 October 2025 and will finish on Tuesday 3 February 2026.

Sprint Planning 

Migration Sprint 0 Planning ran from Wednesday 24 September to Wednesday 8 October 2025.

All Suppliers were required to submit their weekly granularity forecast plans by Wednesday 8 October 2025, and Sprint 0 Suppliers were required to submit Combined Schedule (Committed and Forecast)​​. Submissions received during the planning window covered 98.8% of the market.

Sprint Execution 

Sprint 0 execution started on 22 October 2025 and will finish on Tuesday 3 February 2026.

Information on migration process was shared via the weekly Transition & Operational Readiness Working Group (TORWG) meetings until the end of the Early Life Support phase. 

Sprint Retrospective 

A Sprint 0 Mid-Sprint review was held, and you can view the materials from that session on the Migration Sprint Reviews page of this website.

A Sprint 0 retrospective will be held at the end of the Sprint 0 execution phase to reflect on the closed Sprint, celebrate successes, capture lessons, and agree improvements for future cycles.  

The audience for the Sprint 0 retrospective will be active Suppliers, Licensed Distribution System Operators (LDSOs) and Central Parties but material and key learnings will be shared via the Migration Working Group (MWG).

Key Timelines 

• Monday 29 September 2025 – Full industry to production Kestrel and Submission templates issued to Suppliers 
• Wednesday 8 October 2025 - Submission deadline:  All Suppliers must submit schedules (by the end of the day) 
• Wednesday 15 October 2025 - Sprint 0 baseline published:  
  • Baselined - Committed and forecast schedule released to Suppliers 
  • Baselined - Aggregate schedules released 
• Wednesday 22 October 2025 - Sprint 0 Execution starts:  
  • Early Life Support (ELS) Phase 1 starts 
  • Supplier Migrations begin, following Baselined committed schedule 
• Tuesday 3 February 2026 – Sprint 0 Execution ends 

Sprint 0 Webinar

The Migration team hosted a Sprint 0 Webinar on Thursday 18 September 2025.

This provided participants with a 'Day in the Life of' and a 'Week in the Life of' Migration, a specific focus on how the Migration Control Centre (MCC) will interact with participants and how Migration will be coordinated during the Early Life Support (ELS) phase.
