Data Cleanse Plan

The purpose of the Data Cleanse Plan is to set out the data improvement activities that Programme participants need to undertake, to ensure that data is of the required quality and completeness before the cutover to the new arrangements at M10 and the start of migration at M11.

On Friday 9 August 2024, an updated v3.0 of the Data Cleanse Plan was approved, which you can view below:

Data Cleanse Plan v3.0

Updates to the previous v2.1 of the Data Cleanse Plan, which was approved on 4 June 2024, were required to adjust the timings of some of the activities based on testing carried out by participants and the Programme.

The Data Cleanse Working Group (DCWG) oversee the data improvement activities set out within the Data Cleanse Plan.

Upcoming Activities

To support participants with their Data Cleanse activities, the Transition & Operational Readiness team have provided a view below of the key Data Cleanse activities that Licensed Distribution System Operators (LDSOs) and Suppliers need to action from November 2024-January 2025.

Data Cleanse Plan Upcoming Activities

Please note that all Suppliers are expected to perform exception resolution activities by the following dates:

  • ESME ID
    • The self-declaration deadline for this activity has now passed.
    • Thank you for your cooperation. The team are now reviewing the submissions and will revert with any questions.
    • For exceptions that are still unresolved, and where the Supplier can address the issue, please prioritise resolving them.
  • Meter Location and Number of Displayed Register Digits
    • Each Supplier is expected to investigate and resolve exceptions by Friday 24 January 2025
    • Suppliers are required to provide a self-declaration to the Operational Readiness team via OpReadiness@mhhsprogramme.co.uk on Friday 7 February 2025, confirming the completion of this activity

The Programme has created a guidance document that sets out the declaration expectations on Suppliers, which you can view below:

Data Cleanse Plan Supplier Exception Resolution Declaration Requirements

The Programme has also provided templates for Suppliers to complete and share the required information as part of their declarations, as well as an FAQ document covering both exception resolution activities. You can view these documents below:

The minimum expectation is that all exceptions raised by Licensed Distribution System Operators (LDSOs) have been reviewed by Suppliers, and where the Supplier is able to resolve the issue, they have done so or have set out a clear plan to do so. If resolution is not possible, Suppliers are expected to provide an explanation for why they have not been able to resolve the exceptions raised to them.
