Data Cleanse Plan

Data Cleanse Plan

The purpose of the Data Cleanse Plan is to set out the data improvement activities that Programme participants need to undertake, to ensure that data is of the required quality and completeness before the cutover to the new arrangements at M10 and the start of migration at M11.

The updated Plan was discussed at the Data Cleanse Working Group on Thursday 27 March 2025 and was taken to the Migration & Cutover Advisory Group for re-baselining on Tuesday 1 April 2025.

You can view version 4.1 of the Data Cleanse Plan below:

Upcoming Activities

To support participants with their Data Cleanse activities, the Transition & Operational Readiness team have provided a view below of the key Data Cleanse activities that Licensed Distribution System Operators (LDSOs) and Suppliers need to action over the coming months.

Data Cleanse Plan: Activities for Q1 2025

Please note that all Suppliers are expected to perform exception resolution activities by the following dates:

  • ESME ID
    • Suppliers are expected to resolve all outstanding exceptions by Friday 16 May 2025
  • Meter Location and Number of Displayed Register Digits
    • Suppliers are expected to resolve all outstanding exceptions by Friday 18 July 2025

The Programme has provided a template for Suppliers to complete on a monthly basis, documenting the number of resolved and unresolved exceptions, as well as an FAQ document covering both exception resolution activities. You can view these documents below:

Exceptions Count - ESME ID & Meter Location and Number of Displayed Register Digits

ESME ID and Meter Location & Number of Displayed Register Digits Exception Resolution FAQs

The minimum expectation is that all exceptions raised by LDSOs have been reviewed by Suppliers, and where the Supplier can resolve the issue, they have done so or have set out a clear plan to do so.

If resolution is not possible, Suppliers are expected to provide an explanation for why they have not been able to resolve the exceptions raised to them.
