Early Life Support Model

The Early Life Support Period focuses on the early months of the MHHS migration period, where the Programme monitors the performance of the new systems and processes, in conjunction with Code Bodies and Central Service Providers.

The ELSM sets out:

  •  The enhanced support that is expected to be in place during the Early Life Support Period
  • The governance approach for the Early Life Support Period and roles & responsibilities
  • Early Life Support operating phases and Early Life Support exit criteria
  • The key Early Life risk areas, monitoring and performance measures
  • Risks, assumptions and dependencies

On Tuesday 29 April 2025 the Migration & Cutover Advisory Group (MCAG) approved the baselined version of the Early Life Support Model which you can view below:

Early Life Support Issue Form

Now that the Programme has transitioned into the Early Life Support period, the Programme has developed an Early Life Support Issue form to support identifying and resolving live, blocking issues that impact a participant’s early life activities.

You can view the form below:

If your issue relates to a central service, please ensure that a case has already been raised with the relevant central party before submitting this form as the relevant service desk is responsible for dealing with the incident.

The Transition and Operational Readiness team will review all issues submitted via the form, and they will be shared at the Transition and Operational Readiness Working Group (TORWG) if required.

If you have any questions, please email the Operational Readiness team at Opreadiness@mhhsprogramme.co.uk
