Non-SIT Supplier & Agent Test Data Approach and Plan

The Non-Systems Integration Testing (SIT) Supplier & Agent Qualification Testing (QT) Test Data Approach and Plan was most recently approved and baselined following industry consultation in April 2025 and by the Qualification Advisory Group (QAG) on Thursday 22 May 2025.

This document sets out the Test Data approach and provides a detailed view of specific data requirements for Non-SIT Supplier and Agent Qualification Testing.

As part of the consultation in April 2025, the Code Bodies provided example Qualification Testing Framework (QTF) files to allow Non-SIT Suppliers & Agents to prepare for Qualification and data loading activities. The Code Bodies updated some of these files in July 2025 to reflect industry review comments and feedback. You can view all the example QTF files in the library below. No further changes were identified so these will be the actual files used in QT (with the exception of the Meter Point Administration Number (MPAN) files which are unique for a Supplier, so samples have been provided here).

• D0269_QTF_v350.dat contains QTF Market Domain Data (MDD), e.g. Market Participant Identifiers (MPIDs) of the legacy test stubs contained within the QTF, Line Loss Factors (LLFs) etc.  
• D0270_QTF_v350.dat contains QTF MDD, e.g. MPIDs of the legacy test stubs contained within the QTF, LLFs etc.  
• MPID-SUP-mpan-legacy-YYYYMMDD.csv is a sample file, containing Test MPANs the Supplier should load as legacy (existing) MPANs before migrating these MPANs to MHHS at the start of Qualification Testing.
• MPID-SUP-mpan-gain-YYYYMMDD.csv is a sample file, containing details of Test MPANs to be created / won during Qualification Testing (e.g. MPAN Attributes for an MPAN that is to be gained through a Change of Supply Qualification Test Case (QTC), or a newly created MPAN in the case of a New Connection QTC).
• QTF Default Configuration Data.xlsx contains default data values required for QTCs where that data is not explicitly described in the QTF (e.g. the MPIDs of the MHHS Agents to be appointed during the migration process). Following participant feedback, a new sheet has been produced and included in v2.1 with the specific MPID and DIPID values required when appointing MS and DS for each QTC. This removes any ambiguity about which MPID should be appointed.
• QTC Consumption Data.zip contains consumption and / or meter readings to be submitted during settlement or consumption-related QTCs. On Wednesday 15 October 2025, tabs were renamed to align to the QTC step re-order as a result of defect 56733 (QT-031/049/177).
• LoadShape.xlsx contains lookup load shape consumption and total values. Ensure this file is open when using any QT-nnn Consumption Data.xlsx files to enable calculations to perform correctly.
• FullCatalogue_18.zip is a sample Industry Standing Data (ISD) file containing example files for each of the ISD entities and all the QTF specific ISD required to carry out Qualification Testing. During Qualification, ISD will be updated regularly to include the Market Participant and DIP ID values for the Qualifying Parties entering each wave.
