Overarching Test Data Approach & Plan 

On 19 June, the Programme published the latest red-lined version of the Overarching Test Data Approach & Plan for a second round of industry consultation. This consultation closed on Friday 23 June.  

Thank you to all participants who reviewed and provided feedback on these documents.   

The Overarching Test Data Approach & Plan document aims to define a Test Data Approach that will deliver an aligned set of data for Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Integration Testing (UIT). The document covers data management, allocation, cleansing, storage, archiving and maintenance and provides a definition for Programme Industry Test participants on the Test Data Approach.

Participants were requested to only provide input and feedback on the red-lined areas of the document. 

The Testing team reviewed the feedback and updated the documents, along with the Consolidated Comments Log.  

This document was approved by the Data Working Group (DWG) and the Testing and Migration Advisory Group (TMAG).

Industry Standing Data Samples

Industry Standing Data (ISD) is a new set of common data required by participants and is being introduced by the Programme to replace the legacy Market Domain Data.

Elexon's Helix Programme has produced a number of documents and files for participants. You can view these files and some supporting guidance on the Industry Standing Data Samples page of the Collaboration Base.

Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP)

The SFTP is a network protocol for securely accessing, transferring and managing large files and sensitive data. The Programme has an SFTP Service configured to transfer Test Data between the Programme and the participants. 
 
Systems Integration Testing (SIT) participants have been asked to complete the SFTP Access Request Form which is available below, to grant them access to the SFTP environment.

Participants must fill in the form and email the completed document to Testing@mhhsprogramme.co.uk as soon as possible. The original deadline was extended to allow for outstanding submissions.
