Migration Sprint 0

Migration Sprint Planning officially started on Wednesday 24 September 2025. 

On Monday 29 September 2025, all Submission Templates were issued to Suppliers via Kestrel. 

All Suppliers were required to submit their weekly granularity forecast plans by Wednesday 8 October 2025, and Sprint 0 Suppliers were required to submit Combined Schedule (Committed and Forecast)​​. 

On Wednesday 15 October 2025, the Sprint 0 Baselined Schedule will be published. The committed and forecast schedule will be released to Suppliers, alongside aggregate schedules.

Sprint 0 execution begins on Wednesday 22 October 2025, where the Early Life Support (ELS) Phase 1 starts and Supplier Migrations begin following the Baselined committed schedule.

Sprint Planning 

In preparation for a Supplier’s first sprint they are executing in, they will be invited to a Teams channel for that sprint. This includes all parties involved within the sprint.  

Suppliers will also be invited to a private channel with their Account Manager. This ensures that Suppliers can engage with their Account Managers directly with sensitive information that they don't wish to broadcast widely. 

Two weeks before Submission Templates are issued, the Migration Control Centre (MCC) will send a Sprint Planning Readiness Assessment to all Suppliers who are expected to be active within the sprint. This aims to assure Supplier readiness and their plans for the submission.  

The Migration Planning window spans 20 working days but the crucial period where Suppliers are expected to be actively involved is from Monday 29 September - Wednesday 8 October 2025.  

Sprint Execution 

The MCC will actively monitor migrations during sprint execution.

The MCC will run the following meetings throughout execution: 

  • M02.0: Weekly Migration Sprint Execution Phase Standup meeting – this will start after the end of the weekly Transition & Operational Readiness Working Group (TORWG) meetings 
  • M02.02: Mid-Sprint Review meeting 
  • M03.0: Retrospective meeting 
  • M02.05: Ad-hoc meetings for Significant Deviations 
  • M02.06: Ad-hoc meetings for migration problem management

Key Timelines 

  • Monday 29 September 2025 – Full industry to production Kestrel and Submission templates issued to Suppliers 
  • Wednesday 8 October 2025 - Submission deadline:  All Suppliers must submit schedules (by the end of the day) 
  • Wednesday 15 October 2025 - Sprint 0 baseline published:  
    • Baselined - Committed and forecast schedule released to Suppliers 
    • Baselined - Aggregate schedules released 
  • Wednesday 22 October 2025 - Sprint 0 Execution starts:

Sprint 0 Webinar

The Migration team hosted a Sprint 0 Webinar on Thursday 18 September 2025.

This provided participants with a 'Day in the Life of' and a 'Week in the Life of' Migration, a specific focus on how the Migration Control Centre (MCC) will interact with participants and how Migration will be coordinated during the Early Life Support (ELS) phase.
